Instructional Tips
Organization
- Prepare materials in advance: Ensure all directions and student materials are easily accessible for students.
- Create file folder activities: Print out all materials and mount the directions to the front of a folder.
- Keep it organized: Include game boards and activity pieces within the folder.
Implementation
- Model activities: Prepare students for success with a clear example to follow.
- Assign groups ahead of time: Plan for 2-4 students per center activity, but adapt group size for independent practice or larger groups.
- Prepare students for independent practice: Read the directions aloud and review the Picture Cards to ensure that students can identify each image.
