Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a Supreme Court Justice from 1993 until she died in 2020. Before becoming a justice, she argued a handful of cases before the Supreme Court that each helped women gain gender equality in the eyes of the law. In order to accomplish both of these things, she had to overcome gender discrimination herself.
