A Salty Problem

Many places around the world are short on fresh water. Many of those places are also close to the sea. Humans can't drink salt water without getting sick, but there are ways to separate the salt from the water. People are using two different desalination methods to make fresh water, but both methods come with problems: they take a lot of energy and they produce a lot of salt.
